Director's Notes

Happy Holidays! I hope that everyone is able to spend time with their families during this time of year. It seems as though we had a series of sad event lately that have involved several of our Pleasant Run families. The fortunate part, however, is that it really has shown what special families we have here at Please Run. So many people and staff have volunteered and given so much to help our families in need. I am so proud to be part of such caring people.

Dec. 13th- Last day of music class for 2006- classes resume in Jan 2007
Dec. 14th&15th- Preschool Screenings
Dec. 21st- Holiday Parties @ 3pm in the classrooms
Dec. 21st- Last day of Spanish Class for 2006-classes resume in Jan 2007
Dec. 25th- Pleasant Run Closed for Christmas!
Jan. 1st- Pleasant Run closed for New Years!

Miss Mollie in the Butterfly room is celebrating 1 year!!
Miss Nikki in the Ladybug room is celebrating 7 years!!

School Closings

Just a reminder, if district 186 closes due to snow & ice. Pleasant Run will be closed. They will make an announcement on Channel 20.

Preschool Screenings

December 14th & 15th SASED will be at Pleasant Run working on Preschool screenings. They only will do the screening with children that are 2 ½ and above and that live outside of District 186. Please bring in your paper work by December 13th.

Look who's walking!!

Congratulations Sam and Mya are walking now!! 

I'm a Big Kid Now!!

Congratulations to Michael, Mason, Norah & Reece!! They are potty trained!! Way to go!!

My 1st tooth!!

Congratulations to Dawson on his 1st tooth!!

Donations

A big Thank you to all the families that donated toys and home furnishings. The donations add a special touch to each of the classrooms! Thank you!!

The baby room would like to thank the Long Family for the bouncy seat and the Linderman family for the bibs!

During the Holiday season

If you and your family have a special tradition or custom, we would like to honor it at our center. Please let your child's teacher know. We would love to teach the children about your customs. Thank you!!

To the staff and families at Pleasant Run daycare,

We appreciate your care and concern at the loss of our Baby Andrew. The flowers that were sent to the hospital were beautiful. Thanks to all of you for your financial gift to help with the responsibilities during this time. Your kindness and generosity will always be remembered.
